Minutes of Meeting of Weymouth Board of Commissioners

A meeting of the Weymouth Board of Commissioners was held on Jan 9th, 2017 with Commissioners Gaudett, Raymond, Doucet and Mullen present. Commissioner Frizzell sent his regrets. Chair, Commissioner Gaudett called the meeting to order at 6:58 PM.

The minutes of the meeting of Dec 5th, 2016 were approved on motion by Commissioner Raymond and seconded by Commissioner Mullen.

Business Arising out of the Minutes:
-follow up to discussion of results of Public Meeting on medical, the new committee have followed up on the reply to their letter to the Health Authority. see New Business

Financial Reports: An updated financial report was presented by Clerk Treasurer. Acceptance of report moved by Commissioner Raymond and seconded by Commissioner Mullen. Carried.

Correspondence:
- Christmas greetings from Wagner Refrigeration and Waste Pro
- News Letter from Atlantic Concrete Association.
-Complimentary wall calendars received from MacDonald Chisholm Trask insurance.

New Business:
-Chair read into record the correspondence between Nova Scotia Health Authority and Weymouth Physician Vacancy Committee. Copies of both on file. Needless to say the committee is continuing their efforts.
-Other items brought up for discussion included: Up-coming renewal of Lease for VON, application under unsightly premises - clerk to discuss with Municipal CAO, BobCat repairs and current status and possible options, Fire Dept.'s concerns of their Canada Post mail box agreement and, lastly the lack of sanding/salting of the highway through the village

Next meeting date will be February 6th, 2017

There being no further business meeting was adjourned at 8:20 on motion Commissioner Raymond, 2nd Commissioner Doucet..
