Located just outside the downtown core, at the Weymouth Cricket Field is the Weymouth Amateur Athletic Association. Here, visitors and residents enjoy two diamonds which accommodate baseball and softball. In addition, the openness of the facilities also makes it ideal for other outdoor events.
The Fundy YMCA is located on the former Cornwallis base a short 25 minute drive east from Weymouth. This facility, formerly part of Royal Canadian Naval base Cornwallis, is equipped with all the latest fitness equipment, heated indoor pool and spaces for programs like Pilates.
The Digby Area Recreation Commission provides sporting opportunities and community event options. Funded by the Town of Digby and the Municipality of the District of Digby, DARC provides active living options that are facility based and event based. The Digby Dolphins, Clare/Digby Minor Hockey, Digby Mariners High School hockey call the Digby Arena home. Also located at the DARC site is the Digby Curling Centre where the Canadian Senior Curling championships were held in 2011 and 2016!
Universite Ste. Anne, located 10 minutes south of Weymouth on Highway #1, also houses a well appointed sporting facility. With an ice rink, pool, squash court and more, sporting enthusiasts can find lots to do.
